STYLISTS at an Ilkeston hair salon raised more than £250 for a cancer charity after two days of fundraising.
Staff at Keith Hall pulled on purple wigs and sold cakes and raffle tickets to collect the cash.
The event was organised after salon director, Anna Hartgrove’s mum Maureen Williamson was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Pat Matthews said: “We wanted to raise some money and awareness of the pancreatic cancer so arranged the fundraising days.”
All the money will go towards research projects being carried out by Pancreatic Cancer UK.
