A cancer sufferer has achieved his wedding dream thanks to the generosity of the Maidenhead community.
Lee Price has told by doctors he may not make it to the end of next year after being diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer, seven weeks ago.
The 41-year-old vowed to face it 'head on' to wed fiancé Tara McKay immediately despite time and money being in short supply.
Thanks to a huge swell of goodwill from family, friends and members of the public, the couple from Reeve Road in Holyport became man and wife on Saturday.
Almost the entire cost of the day was covered by donations and help from more than 100 people.
They were married during a candlelit ceremony at St Andrew's Church in Windsor and followed it with a reception attended by 250 people.
Lee, who was dressed in a Welsh tartan kilt for the occasion, said: "There wasn't a dry eye in the place. If had £1m I don't think we couldn't have done it any better. And it's all down to the generosity of the community."
A Facebook group, Lumpy's Last Laughs, has been set up to help support Lee.
The grateful pair would like to thank:
Audrey Meek for organising the wedding.
Reverend Louise Brown for getting a grant from the church for the reception and for doing the wedding service free of charge.
Erica Lloyd for organising a free honeymoon night at the Grovefield House Hotel in Taplow.
Stephanie Ash for buying Tara's wedding dress.
Victoria Carague for paying for the flowers.
Kelly Ellis for doing Tara's hair for free.
Matrix Hair Design in Bracknell for doing the bridesmaid's hair for free.
Everyone who made food for the reception.
The choir from St Michael's Church in Bray for performing at the ceremony for free.
Angelina Morrison for the free party poppers and the voucher for a spa day.
Berkshire Funeral Services for providing three stretch Jaguars free of charge.
D.M. Screenprint in Holyport for the free banners.
