Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest forms of cancer in America. Now some Coloradans are hoping to stop the disease in its tracks.
Rich Phillips died of pancreatic cancer 5 years ago. His family is getting ready for their fourth annual fundraising walk. All the money raised will go to pancreatic cancer research. The hope is their hard work will help find a cure.
"I just felt that he donated his body for research and that we needed to continue his effort to try to find a cure for this," Rich's wife Meg Phillips said.
The Rich Phillips Memorial Walk is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 7. The walk kicks off at 10 a.m. at Sloan's Lake in Denver.
