There are many challenges associated with a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Having access to accurate, up-to-date information on the disease, as well as current treatment options and available supportive services, can help you and your loved ones make informed decisions about your care.
The Lustgarten Foundation - Denver, Colorado Chapter. This is the official blog of the Denver Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk (formerly the Rich Phillips Memorial Walk), a fundraiser held each year in November. The walk benefits the Lustgarten Foundation and their mission to find a cure for pancreatic cancer through research. Help us help us find a cure and support those battling pancreatic cancer and their families here in Colorado.
Who we are.

Why we walk ... The Burness Family
Jim and I have walked in support of the Lustgarten Foundation every year since we lost his mom. |
Our daughter walks (via her stroller) in honor and memory of her grandma. |
Our Family ... David, Hildy, Pete, Danielle, Margaret-Ann & Jim. We walk because Hildy lost her battle with this awful disease. Help us find a cure. |
Jim's grandfather, Academy Award winning animation director, Pete Burness. |

The Golden Gallup -- Sept 11
While this goal of this blog is primarily to promote the Rich Phillips Memorial Pancreatic Cancer Walk and the Lustgarten Foundation, we know there are other organizations in the community all working towards the same goal -- finding a cure -- and we want to celebrate their efforts!
One such event is the Golden Gallop, this weekend in Golden, Colorado. To learn more, visit ... http://www.goldengallop.org/index2.php?v=v1
